My name is Bruno Ryszard Stasiak and I was born in Poland, in the fall of 1943, to a Roman Catholic family. In my youth I studied Art (painting and sculpture), taking various courses at my local high school.

After graduation, I studied engineering at the University of Czestochowa (Poland), and graduated with a title of "Professional Engineer." During my career as an engineer, I continued to practice painting.

After emigrating to Canada, I started to carve in wood.  My first sculpture, entitled "Crucified Jesus" was donated to Our Lady Queen of Poland in Edmonton, in 1990.  This sculpture was later used to make a poster for the symposium called "Art & Architecture in the Church", that took place in Edmonton, in October of 1991.  After this event, I began getting several commissions for sacred sculptures.  As more commissions followed, my skill as an artist continued to grow as did my love, passion and deep appreciation of art.

Up to this date, my sculptures has been presented at the following art Exhibitions:
» In several churches in Edmonton, Alberta (Canada).
» Star of the North Retreat Centre (St. Albert, Alberta), during annual exhibitions of sacred art entitled "CONTACT."

To view some samples of my art works, please see the Galleria page, which is - in fact - my portfolio.  Should you have any comments, questions or professional inquiries, please drop me a line through the Contact page.

Thank you very much for your interest in Bruno's Galleria.
